Vivek Khuller to participate in the "Fixed Mobile Convergence: The Hows and Whys" panel at VoiceCon San Francisco

San Francisco, CA - November 11, 1:00pm - 2:15pm

VoiceCon SF logoFixed mobile convergence is coming, but there are still a wide array of options that range from a simple simultaneous ring feature to solutions that extend presence-enabled directories and visual voicemail to mobile devices worldwide. The cellular carriers are also hinting at plans to introduce their own FMC services based on either Unlicensed Mobile Access (UMA) or the more comprehensive IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS). Meanwhile, IP-PBX vendors, technology partners and now WLAN switch vendors are all proposing their own solutions. This session will provide an overview of FMC and mobile unified communications and a description of the various strategies now being proposed.

DiVitas customer to present at the "Case Studies: Mobility in the Enterprise" session at VoiceCon San Francisco

San Francisco, CA - November 12, 4:00pm - 5:00pm

VoiceCon SF logoWe've heard a lot about the concept of the "mobile enterprise," but what's the reality? In this session, IT/telecom executives from enterprises that have made a major commitment to mobility and wireless communication describe what they've done, why they made the decisions they made and what have been the lessons learned.
KEY QUESTIONS:

  • What caused these organizations to become early adopters?
  • What have they learned about the benefits and limitations of mobility?
  • What are the challenges to managing and maintaining a network of mobile devices - and people?
  • Are they satisfied with their mobility solutions and what difficulties do they wrestle with?
  • Will they stay with their existing mobility solution or migrate to WiMAX, LTE, or some other mobile service in the future?

Vivek Khuller to present "Mobile UC Makes Educators More Available and Productive" at the ACUTA Winter Seminar

Palm Springs, CA - January 13, 2009 4:00pm - 5:00pm

ACUTA logoBy deploying Mobile UC, educators can leverage their VoWiFi investments and increase their reachability, while lowering their costs. Mobile UC mobilizes voice and messaging (deskphone, contacts, IM and presence) by unifying these UC applications onto smartphones. The Mobile UC solution can run on either WiFi or cellular networks, or both, making users more reachable, and thus more productive.

Vivek Khuller to participate in the "Mobile UC & Presence" panel discussion at the Internet Telephony Conference and Expo

Miami, FL - February 2, 2009 3:00am - 3:45pm

ACUTA logoVoice and IM are both “real-time” collaborative modes of communication and they are key components of any UC package. Yet these communication tools can only offer maximum productivity for business users when the caller, or message-sender, knows that the party they are trying to reach is truly available for communication, and by what method. Presence addresses the availability issue, and is one of the staple UC capabilities provided by a truly mobile UC solution. Presence has become a key driver in both the perceived and actual value of UC. This session will discuss how Presence lets mobile workers be more available and more productive.

Vivek Khuller to present "Implementing a Mobile UC Solution" at the ACUTA Annual Conference

Atlanta, GA - April 22, 2009 11:00am - 12:00pm

ACUTA logoMobile UC leverages an institution's WLAN to provide seamless roaming (over WiFi and cellular). Mobile UC also provides Unified Communications (UC) applications on a mobile phone such as email, IM, Presence and Contacts. The presentation will discuss how a university customer has seen tremendous productivity gains, lowered cell phone bills and maximized their initial WiFi investment.
