DiVitas Networks Wins the VON Magazine Innovator Award

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CALIF., March 10, 2008 – DiVitas Networks™, a leader in Mobile Unified Communications (Mobile UC), today announced that it has received a 2008 VON Magazine Innovator Award, which is given to the most innovative companies in the IP Communications industry.

DiVitas has been added to this prestigious list due to its excellence in Mobile UC. In addition to mobile voice and email, DiVitas mobilizes corporate voice and messaging (deskphone, IM, contacts and presence) for businesses by unifying them onto a smartphone that can run over WiFi, cellular or both.

“The VON Magazine Innovator Awards recognize products and businesses that show promise to make a major impact on the IP Communications industry. We’re pleased to include DiVitas Networks among the winners, and thus we are adding this company to our list of innovators,” said Bill Sell, Publisher, VON Media Group.  “Companies like DiVitas should take pride in their accomplishments, because the selection committee unanimously felt as though DiVitas stood apart from the large field of companies that participated in the nomination process.”

With the DiVitas Mobile UC solution, you can make and receive calls on your mobile phone using the same number as your office deskphone. Additionally, you can access features such as extension dialing, call transfer, call waiting and caller ID.  DiVitas also mobilizes corporate messaging applications such as IM, contacts and presence.

The DiVitas Mobile UC solution seamlessly hands off calls when roaming between cellular and WiFi networks, increasing reachability and productivity while reducing mobility costs. Because DiVitas’ technology is carrier-agnostic and managed by the enterprise, companies retain control of their mobile voice infrastructure. This allows them to customize features and implement corporate policies while selecting the PBX, WLAN, handsets and carrier service plans that best meet their needs.

“We are honored to be among the short list of winners who received this year’s VON Magazine Innovator award,” said Vivek Khuller, President and CEO of DiVitas Networks. “This award provides continued validation that our solution is what enterprises are looking for to solve their mobility needs.”

Building on the legacy of the Pulver 100, the VON Innovator Awards have evolved to recognize all companies – start-ups to publicly-traded companies - which represent the future of Internet Communications.  Each participating company completed a lengthy and comprehensive nomination process, and the recipients have been selected from a committee made up of VON
Magazine editors, columnists, and contributors, as well as the leading content producer for the VON.x conferences.

The Inaugural VON Magazine Innovator Award winners will be honored at Spring VON.x at 6:00 PM Pacific time on March 18th in the VON Theatre in San Jose.  For additional information, please visit: http://vonmag.com/innovators/.
