DiVitas Joins Microsoft's Windows Mobile Developer Advisory Council

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CALIF., June 29, 2009 – DiVitas Networks™, the leader in Mobile Unified Communications (Mobile UC), announced today that it has joined the worldwide Microsoft Windows Mobile Developer Advisory Council (DAC), an invitation only advisory board comprised of key partners and customers within the mobile community.

Comprised of enterprise/line of business focused ISVs and enterprise customers, the goal for DAC is to provide a forum for influencing the development of the Microsoft Windows Mobile platform.  Sharing requirements as well as customers experiences and plans for future applications provides Microsoft with the insight needed to make better decisions around Windows Mobile development.

The DAC will provide DiVitas with access to key Microsoft mobility experts and insight into future development plans for Windows Mobile. In return, DiVitas will provide specific feedback based on its world-wide customers (from enterprise to universities) which depend on its Mobile UC solution for their business communications.

The DAC objectives include:

  • Align goals of product groups with goals of developers
  • Align and integrate releases with enterprises
  • Offer a bi-directional channel for communicating with enterprise developers

“Leveraging the knowledge and experience of its top customers and partners shows that Microsoft is very serious about its place as a leader within the mobile computing space,” said ATG Srinivas, VP of engineering for DiVitas Networks “Through our participation in DAC, we will be able to give Microsoft direct feedback to ensure our combined customer’s needs are recognized and used to shape their mobile applications of the future.”
